What to do if you have a few overripe bananas at home? You can use them in a smoothie or make some muffins. But we have a better solution for you. You can make a simple banana bread with them and if you have walnuts on hand, even better.
Ingredients:
- 5 ripe bananas
- 1.5 cups flour
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 50g dark chocolate
- 4 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- a handful of walnuts
Procedure:
In a larger bowl, mash 4 bananas with a fork. Set one banana aside, it will go on top of the bread as a decoration. Add all the "liquid" ingredients to the bowl and mix with the mashed bananas. In the second bowl, mix the flour and baking powder. Chop the chocolate into small pieces and add to this mixture. Then add the whole mixture to the bowl with the bananas and mix together. Place baking paper in the mold and pour the whole mixture onto it. Place the remaining banana cut into pieces on top and lightly sprinkle with brown sugar. Spread the walnuts on top and bake in a preheated oven for 45 minutes at 200°C, until the bread gets a nice brown color.
