Another one of our products that was awarded a star at the prestigious international competition Great Taste Awards 2019! This is how the judges rated our almond butter: "Fresh and delicious almond butter with a pleasant consistency and a generous number of crunchy almond pieces."
And what makes our almonds different? Did you know that roughly 80% of the world's almond production comes from California or Spain? And that's where we're different, because our almond butter is made from Greek almonds, which come to us directly from a local Greek grower. He always has the freshest batch of nuts for us, which is why we can guarantee their highest quality.
Like all other nuts, almonds come to us in a raw state so that we can roast them ourselves, according to our own recipe and technology that preserves their distinct flavor and the necessary quality. We roast the almonds only with a stream of hot air, for a precisely specified time and without adding any fats. They then travel back to the warehouse, where they cool completely. Only after more than 24 hours are they suitable for preparing almond butter. This time will ensure that the almonds "release" the necessary fat and we therefore do not have to add any other ingredients. The almonds are processed together with the peel and the grinding process itself is one of the more complex. This is a two-phase grinding, where the almonds are first chopped into smaller pieces, left to stand and then sent to a special machine that produces genuine 100% almond butter. Yes, it is complex and time-consuming, but the result is definitely worth it.
100% almond butter does not contain any sugar, salt, palm or other fat, preservatives or other additives. It is also gluten-free, and therefore suitable for coeliacs. We recommend storing in a dark and dry place, at room temperature. The shelf life of the butter depends on the almond harvest, but it is usually 12 months from production. After opening, we recommend mixing and consuming within 60 days.
