Although we often experiment with our recipes, this week we have a complete classic for you.
These are simple cookies made with butter, sugar and filled with white chocolate and macadamia nuts. They are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The white chocolate gives them a very smooth and creamy consistency and the macadamia nuts give them a great texture.
And if we subtract the hour the dough rests in the refrigerator, and a maximum of 10 minutes of baking, the preparation itself will take you 10 minutes.
Although they are delicious just a few minutes after baking, they taste best the next day, with a glass of cold milk. Yummy :)
And how can you prepare these cookies?
Simple cookies with macadamia nuts and white chocolate.
What will you need?
- 260g plain flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 100g melted butter
- 50g sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 100g white chocolate
- 100g macadamia nuts
How to proceed?
- In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, add the butter and sugar and mix until you have a thicker cream. You can do this with a food processor or a hand mixer. Finally, add the egg, yolk, vanilla extract and mix gently. However, do not mix anymore.
- Gradually add the flour to the bowl with the wet ingredients and mix well until all the flour is used. If you add the flour all at once, you may end up with lumps that will be very difficult to remove later.
- At the end, add coarsely chopped white chocolate (or chocolate chips) and macadamia nuts.
- Cover the bowl with cling film and place in the fridge for about an hour.
- After the time has passed, take the dough out of the fridge and shape it into 5cm balls. Then place them side by side on a baking sheet covered with baking paper. Leave some space between the balls, as the dough will fall and the cookies could stick together. And if you have any nuts left over, you can sprinkle them on top of the balls. This will give them even better flavor and texture.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 165°C for approximately 8-10 minutes. The edges of the cookies should be golden brown when baked but still soft in the center.
- After baking, leave the cookies on the baking sheet for a while and then transfer them to a metal rack.
- Serve with cold milk.
- Enjoy your meal.
