When the word pizza is mentioned, most of you will probably imagine a classic one. For example, pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella, ham and mushrooms. However, there are also those who like pizza with salami, chili, corn, pineapple, tuna or some vegetables.
We have prepared a pizza for you today that definitely does not belong to this category. This pizza is made with regular dough and topped with blue cheese, marinated pears, and pecans.
Its preparation does not take much time and is enjoyed by both adults and children.
And how can you make such a pizza at home?
Pizza with pecans, marinated pears and blue cheese.
What will you need?
- Pizza dough (you can use store-bought or make your own, you can find our dough in the recipe)
- a handful of pecans
- 50g blue cheese
- A few slices of marinated pears
- 50g pizza cheese
- A handful of arugula
How to proceed?
- PIZZA DOUGH: Add 7g of instant yeast to 250ml of lukewarm water. Mix and let stand for about 5 minutes. In the meantime, pour 500g of pizza flour into a larger bowl (00 is best) and add 1 teaspoon of salt and a little olive oil, mix gently. Pour the yeast into the flour and knead the dough. The dough will be ready when it stops sticking. Cover the bowl with a towel and set aside in a warm place for 60 minutes.
- Place the risen dough on a floured board and roll it out into a circle by hand.
- Chop half of the pecans into smaller pieces.
- First, put both cheeses, marinated pears and sprinkle with chopped pecans on the dough.
- Bake the pizza in a preheated oven at 200°C for approximately 12 minutes.
- Add the remaining pecans and arugula to the baked pizza.
- Enjoy your meal.
